In case you haven't seen this story. Click here to read about baby Nadia. It shows a picture of a normal sized newborn lying beside her. Unbelievable!
Speaking of the photo, I also found it very interesting how the umbellical cord was done. Different than in the US, definitely.

I saw that story. She's SO BIG. She joined a large family too.
Woah! When K was born he weighed in at 9 lb 4 0z, and the nurses kept saying, "You didn't have a baby...you had an adolescent." I kept thinking, "What is the big deal? He looks tiny to me" Till I tottered down the hall and saw him next to the other babies. He looked so big compared to the 6 and 7 pounders. But Nadia is GINORMOUS!! Maybe she had gestational diabetes and didn't know it.
What a big girl! I can only imagine the shock of her parents. I can't say, however, that I thought much of the article's remark about the mother's contribution to Russia's declining population. It's one thing to report the size of the family, but I think the way they phrased it --that she'd done "more than her share"-- left a lot to be desired in the way of tact and objectivity.
I also saw that story and was amazed!
I hope things are going well as you work on your dossier. I was so sad to read your post a few days ago. I can't imagine the emotions you are feeling. I pray that you are able to put together your new dossier quickly!
Do you think that baby is well?
