Got Toilet Paper??

When our case manager was here yesterday for our home study update, we were going over a check list thing as all home studies seem to have. But this one I've never seen before. On one of the questions it asked if the family was able to supply toilet paper and soap?!

Let me just say, if we can't afford toilet paper and soap what on earth are we doing adopting a child from Russia!!! Now, there again, after it's all said and done we may have to go back to corn-cobs when the money runs dry!

Anyhow that just struck me as funny and the more I think of it the funnier it gets!

Yeah- that is an odd question and it would have taken me aback too! You gotta just live and laugh at stuff like that.

Thanks for your comment Suz! It is a surreal experience every day now that our boys are home. We are so happy!
I am so ready for you guys to get your reaccreditation. I'm sure you've been past ready for a long time now. We are praying that miracles will happen and you'll be back in Russia adopting again soon!

Kinda reminds me of being in Russia last summer with two women staring at me standing there shirtless and braless for one of our many medical exams we had done there. As I stood there and they spoke words I didn't understand whilest looking at my boobs - I thought... this is an odd thing to have to do for a kid!
But listen, thank God for your toilet paper and that you could answer "yes" I guess, right?!

I guess! That cracks me up. It is probably an all-purpose form used for foster care (which is part of my problem with foster care - standards are darned low!)

LOL!!!! That is too funny! Such a good point...if we can't provide the TP or the sweet smelling soap..we truly have failed as parents!! :-) Soo funny!

Too funny--especially since the children's homes don't have tp. That's what our student council decided was most needed after their visit last month.
