Hubby found the big suitcase in the rental storage unit last night. I got it cleaned up and in the house this morning and had a sad moment when I opened it up. It still had lots of stuff in it from our trip to visit Viktoria in October, 2006. I had left things in there for "when we went back". I had to throw out most of the things in our medicine bag, it was all expired. I can't believe it has been nearly 2 years (in 4 months) since we last saw her.
I'm about 1/4 packed with my stuff, I haven't even begun D's stuff and hubby will take care of his own for the most part. I'm able to relax a bit about it now that we have an appointment for the closing of the house.

Oh, how sad to find those things. I hope she's happy and healthy wherever she is too.
Congrats on your house! What a nice way for you to start afresh. I hope you make some happy memories there! (It does look NICE in all the pics!)
You're off to Alaska. Have a super fun time relaxing. Hopefully when you come home they'll be some good news of accreditation and you'll have to get busy on paperwork.
I'm sorry for your sad moment.
Opening that suitcase must've felt like re-opening a wound on your heart.
I hope you are able to let it heal again and to enjoy your trip and your new home.
It's been such a long road for you! I finally feel like I can let go of some the past too. I hope you can find some peace after seeing those sad things in your suitcase.
Alaska!? Just a fun trip?
And, your house looks absolutely stunning! I LOVE your dining room and kitchen! The paint, fixtures, cabinets, everything looks gorgeous! You have inspired me to repaint the inside of our house (in my copious free time!).
Congratulations on your new home. It is absolutely beautiful! Sounds like it was a bit never wracking waiting for your closing at the last minute before your vacation.
That must have been a bit sad too to find all those things in the suitcase. I know you must still be praying for her - she is lucky to have a prayer mama.
I hate this for you - in the midst of all your happiness w/that lovely new home.

I'm sure that was a very hard moment for you going through that suitcase. I hope you are doing okay.
I hope your trip went well, and your house looks amazing! I know you are so happy to finally be in it! Congrats.
